Come out & join the fun at Drake’s: The Barn for the inaugural Dames Capital Cake Swap. Show off your baking skills or support your favorite local bakery. Walk the array of cakes of all flavors and styles and fill your box with slices of delight!

All proceeds will support the local chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International & its mission of advancing women in the fields of food, agriculture, fine beverage, and hospitality through education, mentorship and philanthropy.

Inspired by the wildly popular Cake Picnic events that have captivated dessert lovers across the country, the Capital Cake Swap will bring together 250 cake enthusiasts for an afternoon celebrating creativity, community, and, of course, cake.

Here’s how it works: Each ticket holder brings a cake—either homemade or purchased—to share. After admiring the impressive display of cakes, participants will fill a take-home box with their favorite selections. The event promises a festive atmosphere where bakers and cake
lovers alike can connect over a shared love of dessert.

Whether someone bakes an elaborate showpiece or picks up a favorite cake from a local bakery, everyone will leave with a wonderful assortment of cake while helping support the next generation of women in food, beverage, agriculture, and hospitality. Les Dames d’Escoffier International is a worldwide organization of women leaders dedicated to supporting the next generation of professionals through scholarships, grants, mentoring, and community engagement. The Sacramento chapter proudly serves the region by fostering professional excellence while giving back to the local culinary community.
