The State Indian Museum hosts its 47th Annual Honored Elders Day — “Honoring the Spirit of our Elders: Past, Present, and Future” — a free, public celebration recognizing the contributions and lived experiences of Native American Elders.
The day includes a Native Elders luncheon, guest speakers, cultural sharing and a dance program, artisan booths, and Indian tacos. Registered Elders who check in receive special gifts of appreciation and a catered luncheon, and the governor’s office will present an official proclamation celebrating the contributions of California’s Native people.
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free and open to the public. Pre-registration is highly encouraged — call the State Indian Museum at (916) 324-0971 or register online.
