CapLit Presents: Stories by Josh Weil and Sean Beaudoin

September 25 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$10

Join us Friday, September 25, at the Auditorium at CLARA, 24th and O Streets, Midtown for a reading by local actors from Josh Weil’s latest novel What Came West. You’ll also be treated to a reading of Sean Beaudoin’s memoir essay of his experience as a roustabout in the early days of Cirque de Soleil, “The Unlovely Monster.”
Josh Weil’s recently published novel, What Came West, received a glowing review in The New York Times, and was praised by Kirkus Reviews as “a powerful novel, rich in language and dark intensity.”
Novelist, essayist, artist, and musician Sean Beaudoin is the author of five novels and the story collection Welcome Thieves. In the 1990’s, desperate for a job, he stumbled upon the just-created Circue du Soleil and was hired, leading to an experience he will never forget, and you won’t either.
Doors open at 6:30pm: show begins at 7 and ends at 9. Suggested $10 donation includes event and the famous CapLit cookies; no one turned away for lack of funds. Parking: $5 in the CLARA lot; free parking is also available on the street.
