Placer Land Trust hosts Nature Quest: Picnic by the River at the Clementine Beach Preserve, adjacent to Auburn State Recreation Area’s Upper Lake Clementine Day Use Area.
Bring your own picnic to enjoy by the North Fork of the American River and Upper Lake Clementine. Activities include swimming, face and hand painting, and ice cream from Yeti Tavern.
Access is via ASRA road to the beach — a twisting dirt road; high-clearance vehicles are advised. Dogs are not permitted within the boundaries of Lower or Upper Lake Clementine.
Registration is encouraged but not required. Complimentary vehicle entry ($10 value) is available via pre-registration. A CA State Parks Poppy Pass also allows entry.
