DESCRIPTION:Know someone who loves service vehicles? \n​We’ve got the event for you: on August 30\, you’re invited to the museum to experience and interact with the community service vehicles you see every day and meet the heroes who drive them! \nWe’ll have a selection of vehicles of all kinds: a SacRT bus\, fire truck\, ambulance\, a water utility crane\, and more! This event is geared towards children and their families\, and it’s a great chance to learn all about the important functions that these vehicles and their drivers perform in our community. We hope to see you there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.! \nThis event is free with paid museum admission\, and CAM members and children under the age of 5 are free. No advance tickets are required; you can pay museum admission on the day of the event before you enter the event area!

To dig deeper into the history and culture of the local Japanese American community\, head to the 1883 Clarksburg Schoolhouse. \nIts ongoing exhibit\, “Roots and Resilience: The Japanese Farm Families of Clarksburg\,” features a wealth of archival materials from the early and mid-20th century that depict this immigrant community through its challenges and triumphs.
