DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening reception of our 19th Annual Art Farm exhibition featuring Art Harvest and Juried Silent Auction artwork. \nYolo Arts is pleased to be celebrating our Art Farm exhibition with an opening reception on September 17th\, 2026 from 5:30-8:00pm. This exhibition features Northern California artists and artwork inspired by the farmlands of Yolo County. Come and join us as we celebrate the wide variety of artwork entered into the Art Harvest and the Juried Silent Auction! The evening will also feature local wine and refreshments. This event is free and open to the public. \nThe evening reception will include the 6:30 p.m. announcement of the juried prize winners by guest juror Bryan Valenzuela. Three artists will receive cash prizes for Best in Show\, Best in Plein Air and Best in Photography. \nThe Art Farm season will conclude with a fun art fest celebration event on Saturday\, October 17 from 2-5:30 pm at the Gibson House property in Woodland. You can enjoy Art Farm in different ways: \nSample for free the exhibitions\, bid on the silent auction\, stroll the artisan market\, enjoy blacksmith demonstrations and listen to the music of 5 Tons of Rhythm. Savor local food and drink in the olive orchard by purchasing a Premium Ticket ($50). Select one farmland inspired original work of art from the Art Harvest exhibition by purchasing a Shovel Ticket ($350)\, which also includes food and drink tastings for 4. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate 25 years of empowering Sacramento women and children to rise from homelessness at Women’s Empowerment’s Silver Anniversary Gala on Sept. 25. Tickets and sponsorships are available for the event that will take place at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento\, 1230 J Street\, at 5:30pm and will include a cocktail hour\, live music\, silent and live auctions\, an inspirational program and a three-course meal. To purchase tickets or a table\, sponsor the event or sponsor a graduate to attend: www.womens-empowerment.org/gala. \nWomen’s Empowerment is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year as the most comprehensive job-readiness program in the Sacramento area designed specifically to help women break the generational cycle of homelessness for themselves and their children. Each woman begins with a nine-week employment-readiness and empowerment program that includes free transportation assistance\, onsite childcare\, group classes\, and one-on-one work with a social worker\, housing navigator\, job developer and volunteer career mentor. Each woman who graduates from the nine-week program can return for services at any point in her life when she needs additional tools\, including paid job training and transitional workforce housing. \nSince 2001\, more than 2\,000 women have graduated from the program with their 4\,000+ children.
