Sacramentans looking to furnish and decorate their homes at a discount will soon have a new shopping option at Arden Fair.
Restoration Hardware Outlet, now called RH Outlet, is set to open a new location in the Sacramento mall in mid-December.
The home goods retailer is moving into the lower level of a building previously inhabited by Nordstrom, which closed shop at that location in 2020. RH Outlet will occupy 45,000 square feet of space at Arden Fair.
“It’s just astounding how fast RH Outlets can move,” Nathan Spradlin, marketing director at Arden Fair, said. “We began just weeks ago building out the shell on the lower level for them.”
RH Outlet wants ‘to be in Sacramento’
Arden Fair ownership bought the anchor location from Nordstrom when the retailer left the mall and has been planning what would occupy the space ever since. Spradlin said RH Outlet is the perfect fit — and “moving at lightning speed.”
“This I will tell you. (RH Outlet) wanted to be here,” he said. “They want to be in Sacramento. And we definitely wanted them here.”
The building, Spradlin said, is meant for a single tenant so logistics are “a lot more complex.” He said there are plans in the works for the second and third floors of the space.
RH Outlets has close to four dozen locations and 84 RH retail stores and galleries nationwide with headquarters in Corte Madera, California. An RH Outlet offers RH merchandise at deep discounts, generally starting around 50% off.
The Galleria in Roseville is home to a Restoration Hardware, though that location is not an outlet store. RH Outlet in Arden will offer their furniture, lighting, decor and other merchandise at reduced prices.
“This is a tremendous win for our guests and for the region,” Spradlin said. “Its arrival adds to the momentum and energy that continues to shape Arden Fair’s future.”
