The Abridged version:

  • Zach Bryan and Megan Moroney will headline the 2027 return of GoldenSky Festival, the Sacramento region’s biggest country music festival, at Discovery Park.
  • They’ll be flanked by acts such as Ty Myers, The Band Perry and Treaty Oak Revival.
  • GoldenSky is scheduled for Oct. 9-10, 2027, and ticket presales begin Friday.

After two years off, GoldenSky Festival will return to Sacramento’s Discovery Park in 2027, anchored by some of country music’s biggest names.

Megan Moroney and Zach Bryan will headline the two-day music festival from Oct. 9-10 next year, organizers Danny Wimmer Presents announced Thursday morning.

Moroney launched into the spotlight with “Tennessee Orange,” a Top 10 single from her first album in 2023, and ascended to become one of country music’s top female artists over the next few years. Pink cowboy boots and hats flooded Downtown Sacramento for her August concert at Golden 1 Center, touring her new album “Cloud 9.”

Bryan left the U.S. Navy in 2021 to pursue his ascending music career, then broke out as a star a few years later. His album “American Heartbreak” and its single “Something in the Orange” helped him win “Top New Artist,” “Top Rock Artist” “Top Rock Album” and “Top Rock Song” at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards, and he was nominated for 10 other categories.

Moroney will be joined by Treaty Oak Revival, The Band Perry, Wyatt Flores, Kaitlin Butts and more that Saturday, while Whiskey Myers, Max McNown, Avery Anna, Ty Myers and others will play before Bryan on Sunday. The full lineup is available on GoldenSky’s website.

Launched in 2022, GoldenSky drew A-list acts such as Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Tim McGraw in its first three years, which also featured beer festivals, line dancing and more. But it was nixed in 2025, then again in 2026 as competition for booking top acts surged and festivals struggled nationwide.

GoldenSky normally runs the weekend after Aftershock, the biggest rock, metal and punk music festival, at Discovery Park. Aftershock’s 2027 dates and lineup have yet to be announced.

Ticket presales begin Friday at 10 a.m., with VIP options, hotel packages and student discounts available. GoldenSky attendees will also be able to book camping reservations at Cal Expo for the first time, following in Aftershock’s footsteps earlier this month.
