Voters in California are about to decide the fate of one of the most closely watched — and expensive — ballot measure campaigns in state history.

Proposition 50 seeks to redraw congressional districts in California, changing the boundaries to help Democrats secure five seats in next year’s midterm elections. A special election is being held Nov. 4 to decide its fate.

Political advertising is flooding airwaves and mailboxes, as spending on the ballot measure from both sides exceeds $100 million.

With so much noise surrounding the campaign, Abridged is here to answer your questions.

We’ve created a survey for readers to submit questions about Prop. 50. We’ll answer as many of those questions as we can in a story we’ll publish in the coming weeks. You can also send your questions via email to our team at newsroom@kvie.org.
