SUMMARY:Sacramento Mini-Forest Planting Day
DESCRIPTION:Honor the land and all of life with the planting of Sacramento’s first—but not last—urban mini-forest. Mini-forests grow fast\, make shade\, cool the air and are fun to plant! This is a community-wide project of the Sacramento Friends (Quaker) Meeting and many volunteers from other climate-friendly organizations. Many hands are needed to plant over 800 native California seedlings! The project is funded by a Shine Award from SMUD and private donations.
