The Abridged version:
- The Sugar Pushers come to Sacramento from the underworld, so they say.
- This October, the spooky band creepy crawled into Amatoria Fine Art Books in Midtown Sacramento.
- “The Stacks,” an Abridged by PBS KVIE production, was there to capture the underworld invasion, with all its eeks, creeps and screams. Watch it below and follow Abridged on YouTube for more.
In October, the veil between our world and the netherworld is thin.
That’s precisely when The Sugar Pushers appear in Sacramento and play music.
That’s according to the band, which includes Count Abel, Dr. Bog — also a restaurateur — Pooka and The Muck. The characters don’t appear until the Halloween season and then vanish until the next year.
Fortunately for us, they brought their rock ’n’ roll haunted hymns to “The Stacks,” a concert and conversation series by Abridged by PBS KVIE in partnership with Amatoria Fine Art Books.
In this special Halloween edition of “The Stacks,” The Sugar Pushers play an extended show filled with eeks, creeps and screams!
Curious about the lives of the dead? Watch to the end to catch the Q&A with Amatoria owner Miranda Culp and the band.
